Weekly Update - April 9, 2016

We had a small but enthusiastic group this week.  Pat Pipa lead us in making a random fabric crazy quilt rectangle.  Lu Karatzas will lead the group in the second half of this project next week, showing us how to turn this into a useful multi-pocket bag.  If you would like to do this, please bring your sewing machine and 6 1-gallon zip lock bags.   If you didn't make it last week, never fear.  There are more kits available to make your crazy quilt block this week and finish the bag at home after watching Lu's demo.

Show & Tell:

Carol Riggs showed a placemat and forms for toy horses she made for other groups.

Bev Minnerly was busy! She showed a fidget quilt, iPhone Covers, and dolls clothes.

Jane Swafford made a man's patriotic fidget quilt

Lu Karatzas showed her finished polar bear pin cushion

Dawn French-Wright and Pat Pipa showed their finished chenille pot holders.

Kathy Franklin brought a bunch of finished cat hammocks.

Eileen DiSanto showed her jelly roll challenge quilt.

If you took a Hospice Veterans block, we hope to see the resulting quilts this Saturday.  Even if you've just completed the top and it isn't finished, please bring your work in progress.  We'd like to get a group picture of them.  If there are a couple finished, Lois hopes to deliver some next week.

See you all on Saturday!
